The Church Council at Lauvers currently consists of four elders and three deacons.

We are currently in the process of searching for a pastor.


Current elders are Eric Brubaker, Mike Clark, Nevin Glick, and Elvn Ranck.  Current deacons are Neil Glick, David Martin and Delbert Swartz.

 

 

Eric and his wife, Michelle, have 3 children.  They live on a farm near Mifflintown.  

 

 

 

Mike and Beth have three young children, Andrea, Emily and Nathanael.  They reside on a small farm in Newport, Pennsylvania.  Mike is an Agriculture Instructor and FFA Advisor for Greenwood School District in Millerstown, PA.  Beth is a stay at home mother and home maker.  She also provides part-time occupational therapy in a nursing home setting.  The Clark’s have been attending Lauvers Mennonite Church since 2003. Mike and Beth thoroughly enjoy time together on their farm as a family.  They are blessed by congregational support, fellowship, accountability and spirituality.

Nevin and Heidi Glick have five daughters and live near Cocolamus.  They have been at Lauvers since 2013, where they enjoy the fellowship of the church family and appreciate the family-friendly atmosphere.  They praise God for His faithfulness and thank Him for bringing freedom in their lives.  They are excited to see what God has in store for the believers at Lauvers and beyond.  Nevin works as a salesman at KSM Log Homes, and Heidi takes care of things at home in addition to working several days a week at Shade Mountain Granite. 

 

 

Ranck familyRanck familyElvin Ranck and his wife, Charlotte, live in Mifflin.  They have eleven children two of whom are married and several still at home, also four grandchildren.  The family operates a dairy farm and the Walnut Cheese Nook One Way Café.  Elvin is founder and director of Living Hope International ministries which is a ministry in Ghana, West Africa where the family lived for some time.  Elvin is also a pastor.

 Neil and Gretchen live near Mifflintown with their three children, Sydney, Lydia, & Gunner.  The family enjoys traveling, the outdoors, and music.  Neil and Gretchen value the strong sense of community at Lauvers and are blessed by opportunities to serve here alongside others.  Neil works as a Construction Manager for PAME Construction Inc.  Gretchen helps out as a full time teacher aide with the early elementary grades at Juniata Mennonite School.

 

 

 

 

David and Amy Martin live in Spruce Hill with their three teenage children. The Martin family own and operate a dairy/crop farm. They enjoy the family atmosphere at Lauvers and are encouraged by many young people who help make up the church body. The Martins are blessed to be able to serve at Lauvers while continuing to follow God’s plan for their lives.
